From a young age, the study of economics caught my attention because of its association with money; majoring in economics will expand my knowledge about how money really works, and that’s something that only a small percentage of the world knows. My school doesn’t have any formal investing club, but I began trying it on my own after learning about stocks from one of my friends.
After that day, I set up an account and made my first ten dollars off a penny stock. I later heard about cryptocurrency, but I had no idea what it was or how it worked. My curiosity spiked, and I spent a month researching it before making my first buy, learning it offered wins way larger than any stock could. This volatility was really scary at first, but I always did much research before investing. Bitcoin was my first run, and it dropped right after I purchased my share, but by the end of the week it started to skyrocket, and I made my first profit. I’d be lying, though, if I said I didn’t have some losses as well.
I definitely need to get better at reading charts and doing TA analysis, since everything I’ve learned has been self-taught. I believe college can prepare me for this and show me not just the financial background but also the emotional decisions and behavior behind crypto purchasing, because the market is more than just numbers: it’s people’s thoughts, reactions, and feelings. I’ve also learned many things already. FOMO (fear of missing out) is an investor’s biggest enemy in the market, and it can be hard to control. I hope to join a college organization or program where I can express my thoughts and see what others think, making smart and bold decisions together. I would use this opportunity not just to advance myself but to give back to my community, investing in our shared future.
I hope one day to create scholarships for New Haven students so they can pursue their intended major with some financial help. I also want to give back to my school to fix it up or donate to the clubs so they can have what they need. My school had no investing club, but I would love to see one start. No student should be denied education because of their financial status, and I want to do my part to ensure this is never the case. Becoming successful in these areas will help me connect with the community which I came from, because I will be able to go to schools and motivate students or even talk to kids one-on-one to really get to know them and help them along the way, because sometimes they just need a little small push. I might not be able to get to every single student, but I do believe I will be able to help people to become successful and further their education.
I am a person dedicated to my studies and responsibilities. I have a great capacity for learning, perseverance, and dedication.
My academic aspirations are to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My career vision is to one day be able to provide psychology care in the United States.
My plans to achieve this are to encourage and take advantage of diverse opportunities offered by the university and balance it with individual work, to achieve the maximum learning possible.
I decided that I would pursue a career as a psychologist as my passion has always been helping others and trying to improve their quality of life. Therefore, I believe that pursuing this career will give me the opportunity to help improve the quality of mental health services in the community.
I want to specialize in clinical psychology, which focuses on clinical and mental disorders, such as childhood disorders, substance use disorders, schizophrenia, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and others.
I know that all my goals will remain dreams if I don’t pursue my Psychology degree. Therefore, I am committed to working hard in college and pursuing opportunities that can help me realize my goals.
I am a girl who has the most responsibilities in life. I am the one who stayed strong in life. I tolerate the problem that some people can’t. My siblings needed somebody to take care of them. My parents hoped for a child to stay strong in hard situations and help them. I took care of my siblings like their own mother. My parents were working hard for us. I was the one who was in charge of controlling everything. I experienced the beautiful and the bad moments of my life. Which is normal for everybody’s experiences, but NO mine was different from some people. I was living in a country where I was forced not to go to school anymore not to educate myself. I needed to hear the beautiful noises of birds outside every morning and see nice places in my beautiful country, but I was not allowed. Instead I could hear the strange voices of bomb everyday and hearing the crying, yelling of families that lost their family members in those accidents. It was painful., but I stayed strong and I never gave up. I kept going to school, I kept taking care of my siblings, I controlled home problems. And now I believe I am going through light, because I’m in the place where I can see more dreams, where I can achieve my goals. Now my parents are proud of me and I’m proud of myself, too. I hope for freedom for people that can’t go to school or are controlled by other people. In my opinion, we are born with freedom, so we should live with freedom. This is our life. We have to decide what to do in our life. Get what you are looking for. And stay strong for it. I motivated myself and I will motivate others to be brave in their life because it is life everything can happen, but we all should stay strong.
